What goes up...
Must hit the crash mat or it's going to hurt!
ID Fight Unit members Dita Tantang and Ronin Traynor didn’t need to throw themselves into the action for a change as the air ram did that for them.
Under the instruction of stunt man Tony Christian, our ID Fight Unit members have been learning the basics of the air ram and how to get propelled through the air.
Essentially a large pedal you stand on, the air ram uses hydraulics and compressed gas to propel you through the air simulating the effects of being catapulted by the force of an explosion. However, successfully being propelled without injury is more than one simple step. The ability to control what all the different parts of your body are doing is vital - bending your knee at the wrong time, leaning the wrong way or not clearing your trailing leg can all end in serious injury.
Thanks to Tony’s expert guidance and wealth of experience Dita and Ronin hit the mat without a splat.
