English Civil War goes hi tec
ID Fight prepare the way for the new National Civil War Centre
Film-makers are bringing Newark's pivotal role in the English Civil War to life by creating an ambitions and unique app that combines live action and computer generated imagery to create interactive trail guides for visitors round the Nottinghamshire town.
Footage from 28 short movies depicting real-life characters living in Newark at the time of the conflict will "magically" appear on visitors' smart devices so they can learn about the town as they walk around.
ID Fight Co-ordinator Ronin Traynor co-ordinated the action for the films which ranged from small skirmishes to large battles. ID also provided a number of fight performers for the films including Dan Styles, Daniel Tyler-Smith, Richard Hall and Paul McMaster who even got to play the dashing Royalist General Prince Rupert and cut down Ronin from horseback in a clash of swords.
