As the fresh winds of 2015 drift in to take us to new horizons we take a warm look back at 2014 and the adventure it's been.
We've had so much fun working with lots of different people on a wide variety of productions. We've co-ordinated on 8 feature films, 23 short films, 3 TV shows, 3 web series, 30 theatre productions, 9 live events, 2 computer games and 1 cartoon animation.
We've also cast over 70 roles from lead actors to fight performers and picked up a few nominations and awards for action along the away.
We've visited many periods in history from documentaries about the Shinobi ninja and the 47 Ronin
for the Yesterday Channel, an English Civil War series
pioneering new interactive technology, a World War Two feature
, and recently joining the swinging 60s with two features on The Rise and Fall of the Krays
We have left the safe confines of Earth and ventured into space, co-ordinating fights for new a Star Trek
film, working as special action performers in Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron
and one of our team even got to play Doctor Who
The ID fight team joined the world of fantasy this year; fighting to the death in web series Ren
, playing vampires trying to kill a rock band, playing pirates trying to kill Peter Pan and we even got to choreograph a samurai rabbit in the live adaptation of Usagi Yojimbo
We would like to thank all of our students, fight team
, staff, fellow fight co-ordinators, teachers, actors and crew that have worked with us or recommended us over the last 12 months. Every fist thrown, sword swiped or gun fired has been a team effort and we look forward to an action packed 2015.
We'd like to wish you all a very happy, productive, successful and above all action filled 2015. May the New Year far surpass the last!
We're off to fight to music at our 2015 Icebreaker Workshop. See some of you there!
