National Firearms Centre
The evolution of firearms
Daniel Tyler-Smith and Ronin Traynor headed north to meet with fellow ID Fight Unit member Angela Clare to be given a guided tour of the National Firearms Centre. They met firearms curator Jonathan Fergusson who took time out of his busy schedule to show the team around.
They had the opportunity to handle various firearms from history as well as being shown modern weapons currently in use by the world’s armed forces, gaining vital insights into the mechanics of firearms. Jonathan also showed the team some interesting experimental firearms from guns that fire around corners to concealed weapons used for close protection or criminal activity.
Jonathan’s knowledge of the evolution of firearms and the impact they have had on history and society was extremely beneficial and will undoubtedly be useful for application in the ID Fight Unit’s theatrical work.
