Dec'10 New Year, New Adventures» 2010 was an exciting year for Independent Drama. ID Fight Unit member Marysia Kay won the Best Actress Award from the British Horror Film Festival. In addition SEGA’s Empire: Total War won a BAFTA for Best Strategy Game which ID Fight Unit member Ronin Traynor worked on as fight choreographer and motion capture performer. Current members of our ID Fight Unit travelled to China to train with the Shaolin monks, whilst we welcomed some new advanced actor combatants and teacher training candidates into the fold.We started 2010 filming a trailer for Tycan Tournament, the futuristic sport appearing in sci-fi series Chronicles of Syntax and rounded off the year filming The Journey, a short trailer for our courses and workshops. In between, ID has worked on numerous projects including theatre, opera, musicals, film, television and computer games. 2011 offers new adventures for ID and you can see some of our members work in Captain America, Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides, X-Men - First Class and Shogun 2: Total War.
