Oct'11 On set with Blue Peter» The ID Fight Unit joined one of Britain's greatest institutions, Blue Peter on set as part of the red carpet preparations for The Three Musketeers world premiere.ID Fight Choreographer Ronin Traynor spent the morning training Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton in the art of swordplay as preparation to be a musketeer. Helen would later be guarding Freddie Fox who plays King Louis XIII in the film as he travels the Red carpet. Helen wanted to make sure she could handle any potential threats to the King with assassins and the cardinal guards a constant threat. Helen had great fun learning to be a musketeer and picked up fighting with a rapier in record time. This was fortunate as her lesson came to a sudden end when three of the cardinals guards turned up. ID Fight Unit members Dan Styles, Enric Ortuņo and Jay Douglass played the role of the guards and got to put Helen through her paces testing her skill and nerve. To find out how the fight went and to see Helen at the film premier tune in to Blue Peter on Tuesday 11th October at 4.30pm on BBC One. To have a go at being a musketeer yourself sign up to the Musketeer workshop on Saturday 22nd October. For more details visit our Courses & Workshops page. The Three Musketeers is in cinemas from the 12th October. |
