The Deserters
Should I stay or should I go?
ID Fight Choreographer Ronin Traynor devised a rapier and dagger fight for The Deserters. A concept trailer conceived by Robert Myles, the film is a teaser for a historical drama set during the origins of the First Civil War in the 1640s. Two Royalist captains (Robert Myles and Peregrine Dace) have their allegiances tested and their ideologies overturned by the uprising sweeping the country. Filmed on a misty afternoon in the Peak District near Langsett Reservoir, it depicts a moment where hard choices have to be made.

With a 48-hour window to devise, choreograph and shoot this two and a half minute short, the final result has turned out well and the next stage is to develop a short pilot.
