RIP Bob Anderson
A legend of cinematic sword fights like no other.
It is a sad announcement that Sword Master Bob Anderson has passed away at the age of 89. Our thoughts and best wishes are with his family. Some of the ID Fight Unit had the honour of meeting Bob whilst working on Diamond Swords and his work has been a huge influence.

As a competitive fencer, he represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games in 1952 and the World Championships in 1950 and 1953.

Working with previous legends such as Errol Flynn Bob went on to create some of the most memorable fights on film and worked on classics such as Star Wars, The Princess Bride and more recently the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the soon to be released Hobbit. Not only has his work entertained millions of people but has inspired many people to take up fencing, enter the acting profession or follow in his footsteps as a fight performer or choreographer.
